The army box of Vercingetorix offers the possibility of placing at the head of the best armies of Gaul – and of the Celtic world as a whole – those nobles and magistrates who fought most fiercely against the invasion of Iulius Caesar. Thus, Divico, leader of the Helvetii and first to confront the legions, Boduognatus, commander of the combined forces of the Belgians, who almost crushed the Romans in the battle of the Sabis River (57 BC) and, of course, the young, astute and brilliant arvernian noble Vercingetorix, able to unite and raise the whole of Gaul against Caesar in 52 BC, to the dismay of the Romans. With them come the cream of Gaul’s forces, from noble horsemen and Gallic aristocrats armed to the teeth, highly motivated druids or hardened Helvetian infantrymen, as well as bands of Gaesatai mercenaries and Gallic infantry… ready to send the Romans back to their pestilent and overcrowded city with a good kick in the ass!
